The Valais lock

The Valais lock made of brass is the perfect choice for the robust keeping of Eringer cows. Made with high-quality brass screws, the lock guarantees a secure and long-lasting fastening, which is not looped in with a pin, as with conventional locks, but is screwed on. This stable construction ensures a firm hold and is specially developed for use with Eringer cows.

No engraving option – engravable alternatives

The Valais lock cannot be engraved. If you would like a personal message or marking on the buckle, we recommend the engravable 111 buckles and the 103 buckles.

History of Buckles

Buckles were already widespread in Europe during the Roman Empire. In the early Middle Ages, they adorned belts and leg straps and were worn by both women and men. In the 17th and 18th centuries, buckles became more popular for fastening shoes.
